Join us this summer on July 23rd in Downtown Hillsboro for Paws on the Plaza! This is a great way for you to help the Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter in our mission to provide a safe haven for animals in transition, protect animals from harm, and provide tools to the residents of our County to live safely, responsibly and respectfully with animals.

Held at the Hillsboro Tuesday Night Market surrounded by food, produce, artisan vendors, classic cars, live music and more, this is a family and dog friendly event!

Contests: Back by popular demand, at 7:00 pm we will be looking for the Best Trick, Best Costume, Biggest Dog, Littlest Dog (over 1 year), and Best Dog/Owner Look-A-Like.

Check your Chip: If you brought your dog, you can have them scanned for a microchip. It is a good idea to make sure it is still functioning and that the contact information is up-to-date so that they can be returned to you if they ever go missing. We will have resource to help people get their chips updated if needed.

Dog Licensing: Licensing is the law, it helps dogs get home safely, it helps prevent the spread of rabies, and more. We look forward to answering your questions and helping you get your dog licensed.

Raffle: In addition to providing information and services to the community, we hope to also raise needed funds for our important work. We hope you will donate what you can, and there will also be opportunities to earn free raffle tickets!
