Microchipping and cat adoption at Peace and Justice Fair

  • Esther Short Park 415 West 6th Street Vancouver, WA, 98660 United States (map)

Furry Friends will be offering their cats and kittens for adoption on Saturday, September 14, at the Peace and Justice Fair (P&JF) at Esther Short Park. Come “purruse” the adoptable cats, speak with Furry Friends volunteers about how to help the kitties besides adoption, and check out the great cat themed merchandise.

Furry Friends will also be offering discounted Avid FriendChip ID microchipping for dogs and cats from 9am to 1pm (weather permitting). The chips will be implanted by a volunteer licensed vet tech for only $20 (a value of $60). Furry Friends will even complete and submit the registration paperwork for you. Unlike other brands, Avid has no annual fee.

The return-to-owner rate for microchipped cats is 20 times higher than that of non-microchipped cats. This unique permanent identification gives your lost pet a much better chance of coming home.

Furry Friends is a nonprofit, all-volunteer, no-kill, cat adoption organization in Vancouver, WA. Its mission is to help homeless, relinquished and abused cats by providing spaying and neutering, medical care and foster shelter for as long as it takes to find their forever home.
