“Star Paws” Dinner and Auction
Furry Friends is hosting its annual dinner and auction fundraiser at the The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver. They will be celebrating their 20th year of operation.
While purely optional, attendees are encouraged to appear in costumes that reflect a Star Wars theme. The Cloud City Garrison will be attending in costume to help set the mood and be available for photo opportunities. This group is a chapter of The 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, a Star Wars Imperial costuming club. The 501st is dedicated to the movie-quality costumes of the "villains" of the Star Wars universe.

All proceeds from the event will go towards Furry Friends ever increasing medical costs and operating budget.
Founded in 1999, Furry Friends is a nonprofit, no-kill 501(c)(3) animal rescue serving Clark County. Run entirely by volunteers, their mission is to save abused, abandoned and relinquished cats by providing them with medical care and socialization, spay/neutering and shelter until they are placed in appropriate adoptive homes.

Dogs Day Out
A fundraiser for Fences For Fido and local dog parks, this event coordinates with the annual Sandy/Boring Cyclocross event. This is a dog-friendly event with a special area of the corn maze set aside strictly for dogs and their humans to stroll and explore.
