Vaccine and no late fee licensing event will take place at Marion County Dog Services in partnership with Oregon Mobile Veterinary Services. A wide range of vaccine services will be offered along with microchipping and nail trim. Renew a dog license or set up a new license.

Celebrate the change of seasons at our Spring Food Truck Frenzy. It’s happening May 17th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., courtesy of Paula Fordham and Ryan Fordham at The Fordham Real Estate Group @ RE/MAX Integrity (Paula Fordham, Re/Max Integrity Salem). We'll have pup playgroups, live music, food trucks, adoptable animals, beer, Caesar The No Drama Llama, a magic show (at 6:30 p.m.) and more at this pet-friendly, family-friendly event. And it's all to support the dogs and cats in the shelter.
Get on Board Day is the new national awareness and advocacy day that encourages people to support public transportation and showcases the benefits it brings to communities.
Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association, Get on Board Day is April 25. This coincides with congressional spring break, which is when elected officials are back in their districts. We're celebrating at the Downtown Transit Center from 3 to 5 p.m. with giveaways and an appearance by Caesar the No Drama Llama!

Kitten season is coming! Help us prepare with a very special Kitten Shower at Santiam Brewing. We'll have small kittens for you to cuddle for a suggested $5 donation. Santiam will donate $1 for every pint poured, too.
This fundraiser helps us prepare to care for all of the tiny ones coming our way, and we hope to see you there!
Here are two special things to know about this event:
* Our kittens are too small to be adopted, so you won't be able to take them home with you.
* Kids are welcome at Santiam, but if you're hoping for a more kid-friendly event with games and prizes and fun things for small people, come to our in-shelter event on April 13th!
It’s a dog- and cat-themed trivia game! This Salem event will benefit three nonprofits: Coalition Advocating for Animals (CAFA), Prevent A Litter (PAL), and Savin’ Juice Medical Dog Rescue. Proceeds help with spay/neuter assistance and adoption for homeless dogs and cats. $5 to play trivia. $7 for the spaghetti dinner. Leanne McClellan Band starts at 7:15. There will be a raffle and door prizes.
