Stay Pet Hotel auctions off coveted dog boarding spot over Christmas

One-day auction happening on December 17; proceeds go to Fences for Fido

WHAT: Stay Pet Hotel is auctioning off of boarding for much sought-after accommodation in one of its dog suites for three nights from December 23-26. With the city nearing a sell-out of canine boarding spots through the holiday, this is a Portlander’s last chance to secure the best dog lodging in town for Christmas. Stay owner Kim Hormby made the decision to give up her own dogs’ spot at the hotel and auction it off to a lucky winner with proceeds benefitting local non-profit Fences for Fido. The auction will take place on Wednesday, December 17 on the Stay Pet Hotel Facebook page from 10am - 8pm, ending with the highest bidder clinching the coveted accommodation.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Fences for Fido, an all-volunteer, Portland non-profit that improves the quality of life for dogs living outdoors by removing chains, building fences, providing shelters, and raising awareness to ensure area dogs live safe, un-chained lives.

Any dog being boarded at Stay must be people friendly, current with proof of all vaccines, spayed/neutered, in good health (Stay reserves the right to contact veterinarians) and have been possessed by current owner for at least one month. Other health and temperament regulations do apply as well.

Stay Pet Hotel, Portland’s boutique hotel for dogs, is an all-inclusive dog-boarding hotel.
