Bicycle century raises funds for area sanctuaries

The 4th annual 100-mile Sanctuary Century pedals off on Saturday, Sept. 15 with the goal of raising $20,000 for Out to Pasture Farm Sanctuary, Home Animal Sanctuary and Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest.  The century loop begins and ends in the Buckman neighborhood of SE Portland, and loops through points in Vancouver, Troutdale, Gresham and Milwaukie.  A celebration is happening at ride’s end at Vegan Minimal at 12th and Stark in Portland.  For details, to register or to donate, contact ericphelps@gmail.com, or go to The Sanctuary Century on Facebook.
