POOCH in the Pub - a Project POOCH fundraiser auction

Celebrating 20 Years Project POOCH and Dave’s Killer Bread Announce Annual Fundraising Auction

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – Project POOCH, Inc. (Positive Opportunities-Obvious Change With Hounds), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that teaches youth offenders to train and prepare shelter dogs for adoption, and business partner Dave’s Killer Bread today announced that tickets are on sale for the annual fundraising dinner and auction, “POOCH in the Pub” being held on October 19th, 2013. Attire is casual.

The auction is Project POOCH’s fall fundraising effort, featuring a dinner, musical entertainment by Brooklyn Street Jazz and both silent and live auctions on Saturday, October 19th at the Tiffany Center in Portland. This year’s auction has received an impressive selection of more than 100 donated goods and services from community businesses and individuals in support of Project POOCH.

A sampling of auction items includes a Hawaii getaway (plus a snorkeling package), a hot air balloon excursion and river rafting adventure. Additional auction items include custom bakery items, paddleboarding adventures, wine tastings, boat cruises, date nights, pet care and boarding, unique artwork and crafts, professional services and gift certificates.

“We are grateful for the generous donations to the auction benefiting Project POOCH,” said Shannon Campbell, the program’s Auction Chairperson. “The program is fortunate to have so many business owners and individuals support its vision. In turn, we will continue to make good use of the funds we receive.” Campbell states that, because of the organization’s carefully managed budget, Project POOCH spends 88% of its funding directly on program expenses related to its tax-exempt purpose.
