Doggie Sweethearts Can Say “I Do” on Feb. 15

Parents of love-smitten dogs can bring their four-legged friends to Hotel Monaco in Portland on Feb. 15 and join their pets in “muttrimony” with the blessing of the Oregon Humane Society.

The “Doggie I Do” wedding package features a mini-ceremony complete with photography, dog wedding cake, a wedding reception and more. To make the afternoon complete, Red Star Tavern will provide hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, including “Muttinis.”

Prices range from $50-100, with all proceeds going to support animals at OHS. Pet parents are encouraged to reserve their Doggie I Do wedding time as soon as possible because of limited space.

When: Sunday February 15, 2-6 pm
Where: Hotel Monaco, 506 SW Washington St., Portland, OR 97204
Cost: Guests $15 donation to OHS; wedding packages start at $50
RSVP: Please RSVP at events@oregonhumane.org to schedule a time slot for your wedding

The starter “Silver Paw” Package, $50, includes: Marriage Certificate; two dog bandanas; one photo print; admission for two dogs to wed and two parents; and admission for two dogs and two human guests.

Students from the International Air and Hospitality Academy selected OHS as the beneficiary of their final project, Doggie I Do. The students have organized this Valentine-themed event to help support the animals at OHS as these pets await finding their own loving families. The event is also sponsored by the Hotel Monaco and LexiDog Boutique & Social Club.
